Raktdaan Amrut Mahotsav 2.0 (17 SEP 2025)
Under the spiritual guidance of Acharya Shri Mahashraman ji, Jain Vishwa Bharati London (JVBL) is participating in the Global Mega Donation Drive. This annual event by ABTYP breaks records of blood units collected years after years – last year this weeklong event has collected more than 375,000 units of blood!
This year, various government organisations in India are endorsing this movement and a word of encouragement have been sent by Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi and key Indian Union ministers as well. This event is being celebrated as Raktdaan Amrut Mahotsav 2.0 in India and we want to make it a global movement.
On behalf of JVB London, we request you to be part of this global initiative by:
- Registering in NHS as a blood donor, if you are not already registered. https://my.blood.co.uk/sign-up/
- By booking a blood donation slot preferably between 12th Sept till 17th Sept. Edgeware and other blood donation centres have certain (including late evening) slots available during this period. If these dates do not suit your schedule, please still consider donating later.
- Vinod bhai is trying to get a bulk slot for JVB devotees. It should be confirmed by tomorrow. It would be great if you can participate in the group donation event.
- By checking your eligibility upfront (https://www.blood.co.uk/who-can-give-blood/). For example, recent travels to Africa or India might need you to wait for a month before you can donate the blood.
- By letting JVB leadership know about your donation as part of this initiative. We will post a poll in some time.
